Under the instructions of the Chief Minister, District Magistrate Mayur Dixit conducted on-site inspection of various areas on Sunday with the aim of making the roads of the district pothole free by October 15. He took stock of the progress of road repair and construction works at many places including Chandi Chowk, Chandi Bridge, Irish Bridge, Bairagi Camp and Dakshdweep.

The District Magistrate directed the officials of the National Highways and Public Works Department to speed up the asphalting and screwwork works and to increase the number of workers and resources as per the requirement. He asked to complete the road repair work from Shankaracharya Chowk to Bhupatwala on priority.

While inspecting the 60 meter span bridge under construction in Bairagi area of ​​Dakshdweep, the DM instructed to pay special attention to the quality and time limit. Also, after reviewing the construction works related to Kumbh Mela, he was asked to complete them in a timely and quality manner.

During the inspection, the District Magistrate also gave instructions to get painting and wall painting done in various parts of the National Highway and to immediately repair the faulty street lights. He said that repairing roads and improving the traffic system is the priority of the administration.
