DM asked to take effective action by identifying permanent and temporary encroachments in various areas including Bhupatwala-Bhimgoda, Mansa Devi Gate, Balmiki Chowk, Laltara Bridge, Rodi Belwala. Besides, instructions were also given to remove illegal electricity connections and dangling wires.
He said that the action of removing encroachment should not be limited to mere formality and the concerned departments will have to keep constant vigil to prevent encroachment again. The DM directed the Municipal Corporation, Administration and Police to run the campaign with mutual coordination and to improve the cleanliness and arrangements of the city.
He directed all the concerned departments to regularly review the action and to improve the arrangements before the Kumbh Mela.
