To provide better health facilities to Kanwar pilgrims, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the Chief Minister Health Service Camp.

(Kapil Kumar) Haridwar. In case of deteriorating health of the Shiv devotees coming on the holy Kanwar Yatra, under the direction of District Magistrate Mayur Dixit, health camps have been set up by the Health Department at 32 places including the Kanwar track road, where if the health of the Shiv devotees is bad or they get injured due to any reason, they are being immediately treated free of cost.

Chief Medical Officer Dr. R. Of. Singh informed that the Health Department has set up health camps at 32 places to provide free health facilities to the Shiv devotees and today, on the fourth day of Kanwar Yatra, 18019 Shiv devotees who came to various camps were given free treatment. Till now, during Kanwar Yatra, 65971 Shiva devotees have been provided free treatment. He said that for the first time during the Kanwar Yatra in Haridwar, 4 medical mobile units have been included through which medical facilities are being provided to Shiva devotees. For which health camps have been organized on the Kanwar Yatra route and at various places, through which the health treatment of Kanwariyas is being done. He said that in the last 05 days, about 48 thousand Kanwariyas have been given free treatment through these camps. He said that the priority of the government is that Shiva devotees should not face any kind of inconvenience and trouble, for this the district administration, concerned departments, police, voluntary organizations, All the paramilitary people are working day and night to provide better facilities to the Kanwariyas. Chief Medical Officer Dr. R. Of. Singh appealed to the Kanwar Yatra to drink adequate amount of water during the Yatra, take rest from time to time and in case of any health problem, they must reach the nearest health camp and get medical advice and treatment.
