SSP Haridwar did a surprise inspection of the police mess, laid special emphasis on the quality of food of the soldiers.

He gave clear instructions that every policeman deployed in Kanwar Mela should be provided fresh, nutritious and high quality food at minimum price, so that the soldiers can discharge their duty with full energy, enthusiasm and dedication. He instructed the mess in-charge to follow high standards of hygiene in preparing food, maintain the quality of food items and provide food on time. Also said that the health of the soldiers is one of the top priorities of the department and any kind of negligence in their facilities will not be accepted. Thousands of policemen are handling the security arrangements day and night in a huge event like Kanwar Mela. In such a situation, it is the primary responsibility of the police administration to ensure better arrangements for their health and food. This inspection of SSP Haridwar is being considered an important initiative towards the morale and welfare of the soldiers.
