Mangalore. Necessary resources are being provided to the Special Police Officers (SPOs), who are working shoulder to shoulder with the police to maintain effective security arrangements during the Kanwar Yatra. In the same sequence, on Friday, jersey, umbrella, towel and other necessary materials were distributed to the SPOs in the Kotwali Mangalore complex.
On this occasion, Area Officer (CO) Mangalore Abhinay Choudhary and Inspector in-charge Bhagwan Singh Mehar appreciated their contribution while distributing the materials to the SPOs. Officials said that in a huge event like Kanwar Mela, SPOs are playing an important role as assistants to the police and their active participation is helping in maintaining the security and traffic system smoothly. The officials encouraged all the SPOs and called upon them to perform their duties with full responsibility, vigilance and dedication. The SPO also assured full cooperation of the police for the successful and safe conduct of the Kanwar Yatra.
