In case of ill health of Shiva devotees coming on Kanwar Yatra, immediate treatment is being provided free of cost.

For the medical treatment of Shiva devotees, 4 medical mobile units have also been included, through which medical facilities are being provided. In case of deteriorating health of the Shiv devotees coming to Haridwar on the holy Kanwar Yatra, under the direction of District Magistrate Mayur Dixit, health camps have been set up by the Health Department at 32 places including the Kanwar track road, where Shiv devotees are being given immediate free treatment in case their health deteriorates or they get injured due to some reason. Chief Medical Officer Dr. R. Of. Singh informed that the Health Department has set up health camps at 32 places to provide free health facilities to the Shiv devotees and today, on the fourth day of Kanwar Yatra, 13876 Shiv devotees who came to various camps have been given free treatment. Till now, during Kanwar Yatra, 47952 Shiva devotees have been provided free treatment. He said that for the first time during the Kanwar Yatra in Haridwar, 4 medical mobile units have been included through which medical facilities are being provided to Shiva devotees. He said that teams of doctors and paramedical staff are ready to serve Shiva devotees 24 hours. If any devotee has any health related problem during the Kanwar Yatra, immediate treatment is being provided. Along with this, adequate quantity of medicines, medical equipment, ambulance and trained health workers have been ensured in all the health camps. Chief Medical Officer Dr. R. Of. Singh appealed to the Kanwar pilgrims to drink adequate amount of water during the journey, take rest from time to time and in case of any health problem, they must reach the nearest health camp and get medical advice and treatment. The district administration and health department are continuously working to provide safe, easy and better health services to the devotees during the Kanwar Yatra.
