Haridwar Police's big revelation amid Kanwar fair, three accused arrested in theft case

Police have recovered cash worth ₹5 lakh, the tampo used in the incident, police card, PAN card and Aadhaar card from the possession of the accused.

According to the police, on the night of July 29, jewelery and goods were stolen by breaking the locks of two houses in Tehri Displaced Colony. After the case was registered in the case on August 4, Ranipur police and CIU team started investigation on the basis of CCTV footage and technical clues. On August 7, during checking near BHEL Stadium, Akshay alias Golu was arrested along with Tempu. On his information, the police also arrested Sonu Saini and Sonu Sharma. During interrogation, the accused told about selling the stolen gold items for ₹ 5 lakh.

According to the police, among the arrested accused, Akshay alias Golu and Sonu Saini have several criminal cases registered against them in the past. Action is being taken against all three under relevant sections.
