Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami honored the meritorious students who performed excellently in high school and intermediate board examinations in the talent felicitation ceremony organized by Vidya Bharti All India Educational Institute, Uttarakhand at Anand Swaroop Arya Saraswati Vidya Mandir Shishu Vatika, Roorkee. During this, he said that hard work, discipline and values are the biggest signs of success and on the basis of these values, India will again become a world leader. The Chief Minister said that it is a privilege for him to get the opportunity to honor talented students for the third consecutive year. Congratulating the honored students, he said that this honor will give new energy to their self-confidence and inspire them to excel in every sphere of life.
He praised the education model of Vidya Bharti and said that the institution is doing important work of nation building by providing education based on Indian culture, patriotism and moral values. He said that about 45 lakh students are studying in about 13 thousand formal and 12 thousand informal schools of Vidya Bharti across the country, whereas in Uttarakhand, more than 1.25 lakh students are studying in 562 schools. The Chief Minister said that the state government has made the education system modern and employment-oriented by implementing the new education policy. Many schemes like smart classes, IT lab, hostels, free textbooks, shoe-bag distribution, meritorious student incentive scheme and 'Kaushalam' program are being run in government schools. He also said that the anti-copying law implemented in the state has increased transparency in recruitment examinations and in the last five years, more than 34 thousand youth have got government jobs without any corruption.
During the program, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also inaugurated the new building of Anand Swaroop Arya Saraswati Vidya Mandir Shishu Vatika. He called upon the students to contribute in building a developed India on the basis of their knowledge, values and talent, keeping the national interest paramount.
On this occasion, President Kaushalya Devi Arya, Union Organization Minister of Vidya Bharti Domeshwar Sahu, Dr. Rajnikant Shukla, Director of IIT Roorkee Kamal Kishore Pant, District Panchayat President Kiran Choudhary, Mayor Anita Aggarwal, District Magistrate Mayur Dixit, Senior Superintendent of Police Navneet Singh Bhullar, Joint Magistrate Deepak Ramchandra Seth, Sub-Collector Devendra Negi along with a large number of public representatives, parents and students were present.
