As soon as the information was received, Inspector-in-charge Kotwali Mangalore police force immediately reached the spot. The situation was controlled and calmed down by the police personnel already present on the spot.
In the initial investigation, it was found that the driver of Alto car number HR 38AC-7944, which was going from Haridwar towards Delhi, was also a Kanwariya and was returning to his home after taking Ganga water from Haridwar.
Near the Golden Dhaba flyover, the car collided with an unknown Kanwariya's kanwar, due to which his kanwar was broken.
After the kanwar was broken, some unknown Kanwariyas beat up the Alto car driver and also damaged his car.
One person has been detained from the spot in connection with the incident. Based on the complaint of the victim Alto car driver, case number-388/ in Kotwali Mangalore. 2026 has been registered and advance legal action is being taken in the matter. Necessary action is being taken against other involved persons after identifying them.
