Haridwar, Extensive disaster relief and rescue arrangements have been made by the district administration to ensure the safety of lakhs of Shiva devotees during the holy Kanwar Yatra. Under the leadership of District Magistrate Mayur Dixit and Senior Superintendent of Police Navneet Singh Bhullar and coordination of Disaster Management Officer and In-charge Kanwar Control Room Mrs. Meera Rawat, B.E.G. (Bengal Engineer Group) Two teams of trained army divers from Roorkee are deployed at sensitive sites with 24-hour alertness. B.E.G. One team from Roorkee is deployed near Hathi Pul area of ​​Haridwar and the other team near Solani Park in Roorkee. In view of the strong flow of Ganga and the huge crowd during the Kanwar Yatra, these trained divers of the Army are always alert and ensuring the safety of the devotees by providing immediate relief and rescue work in any emergency. Due to his promptness, courage and disciplined working style, thousands of Shiva devotees are able to take bath in Ganga and fill Ganga water in a safe environment. The relief and rescue team is being led by Subedar Kulwinder Singh. The team is fully prepared to effectively deal with every emergency situation by maintaining constant contact and coordination with the Kanwar/Disaster Control Room. Under the leadership of District Magistrate Mayur Dixit and SSP Navneet Singh Bhullar, excellent coordination has been established between the district administration, police and army, as a result of which effective efforts are being made continuously to make the Kanwar Yatra safe, well-organized and successful.
