The special campaign of the Transport Department regarding the safety of school children continued for the third consecutive day. On the instructions of District Magistrate Mayur Dixit, intensive checking of vehicles of various schools was done under the leadership of ARTO Neha Jha and Nikhil Sharma. During the campaign, all the safety standards including fitness, permit, driving license, fire extinguisher, first aid kit, female attendant, emergency exit were checked. Challans were issued against 65 school vehicles for violation of rules.
After serious irregularities were found, two buses were seized without fitness and one bus was found operating without registration.
The Transport Department made it clear that there will be no compromise on the safety of students and action against those violating the rules will continue.
